Evaluation

Evaluation of acquired understanding is based on assessment of individual progress and achievement in each of these areas. The following objectives and related tasks are components of the overall evaluation:

  • Participation accounts for 25% of the final grade. Participation includes online activities such as posting replies to discussion assignments within the week in which they are assigned.

  • A mid-term project report composed of the Problem Statement, a draft of the Review of the Literature, and its corresponding Bibliography accounts for 25% of the final grade.

  • A final project accounts for 50% of the final grade. It will be composed of a research proposal report and a visual presentation of the results of a qualitative field study of the proposed empirical research.

Acquired knowledge represented in the project reports and presentation should be based on readings, discussions, and online activities.
